Getting started

Check your platform and permissions

Understand Windows and macOS differences before configuring your audio sources.

Before you begin

Use the official Download page to check validated installer availability. No public installer is currently published here. Source implementation and screenshots do not certify a platform release.

Step by step

  1. Connect and test each output using your operating system’s sound settings.
  2. On Windows, choose a source supported by your Windows build. Application capture also depends on the source application’s policy.
  3. On macOS, follow the operating system’s audio-capture permission prompts when choosing a supported source. The current desktop target is macOS 14.2 or later; platform release validation remains separate.
  4. If you denied a required permission, review PairChord’s permissions in system settings, then reopen the app or retry capture as directed by the OS.

Check the result

Only supported and permitted sources are available. Windows per-output application assignments and default-output tools do not imply equivalent macOS capabilities.

If something goes wrong

Protected content or an application’s capture policy may prevent capture. Do not disable system protection to work around a capture failure. Windows setup downloads WebView2 if it is missing, so that installation step may require internet access.
