Route audio to compatible Bluetooth, USB, HDMI, wired, and built-in outputs.
Choose a source supported by your operating system. Refresh the running-application list when your source changes.
Include another available output without manually stopping the session.
On compatible Windows builds, assign a different application to each routed output—for example, music to speakers and chat to a headset.
Start, pause, resume, stop, and adjust master volume or mute.
See available, selected, connected, playing, muted, and waiting states, plus guarded one-second device refresh on the visible Control page.
Watch routed audio levels after volume and EQ. On Windows, the default-output meter can also drive the waveform before routing starts.
Application capture depends on OS permissions and source-app policy. Separate browser tabs are not guaranteed separate audio sources. Exited or unavailable app sources do not silently fall back to all system audio.
02 / Sound & EQ
Adjust the sound of each routed output, not just the whole mix.
Set the level of each routed speaker independently. Supported Windows default-output volume and mute controls affect that system endpoint.
Adjust left/right balance. Choose stereo, mono mixdown, left only, right only, or swap left/right channels.
Shape 80 Hz, 250 Hz, 1 kHz, 4 kHz, and 12 kHz, with gains from −12 dB to +12 dB in 0.5 dB steps.

Name, save, and edit your own five-band curves. Apply a built-in or custom preset from each output’s Device settings.
A safety limiter remains active after routed output gain and EQ, with a 0.98 peak ceiling.
EQ, balance, channel processing, and added delay apply to PairChord-routed audio. They do not intercept the direct Windows default-output path. Start at a comfortable listening level.

03 / Groups & device settings
Keep familiar speaker combinations ready for your next session.
Create, edit, and delete groups for rooms or listening setups.
Choose known outputs and move members up or down to keep your preferred order.
Choose a saved group directly from Control and manage its members from Groups.
Recognize unavailable saved members instead of losing track of your group’s devices.
Give outputs recognizable names while keeping their original names, transport, sample rate, and channel information available.
Return an individual device’s saved controls to their defaults when you want a fresh start.
Connect or pair devices through your operating system first. Group membership does not make an unsupported or disconnected device available.
04 / Control & Calibration
Compare your speakers, align faster paths, and monitor changes.
Add 0–2,000 ms of delay to routed outputs, including fine adjustments in 1 ms steps.
Play a test pulse across selected outputs. Choose a reference and fine-tune a different routed output by ear; the Windows default output can be the reference.
During supported system-audio routing, compare selected outputs and the default using latency estimates. PairChord can stop, switch the default to the slowest estimated path, update delays, and restart routing.
While routing is stopped, change the Console and Multimedia default output. The communications default is left unchanged.
Adaptive synchronization monitors independent output paths, with bounded buffering and recovery when a device or capture path is interrupted.
Monitor output count, timing deviation, overall sync quality, and routing duration while listening.
Windows plays its default output directly, so PairChord cannot delay that path. Auto Optimize is estimate-based and is not available for independent per-output app assignments. Bluetooth jitter and device buffering can still require manual calibration. The pulse test is not microphone-based measurement.
05 / Diagnostics
Get useful context when a route needs attention.
Inspect synchronization error, estimated latency, buffer fill, drift correction, and connection or recovery state where reported.
Track underruns, overruns, and recoveries to help identify an unstable path.
Review session duration, output count, recovery totals, and completed or interrupted sessions.
Copy a concise diagnostic summary when you need to describe a problem.
Choose to save a diagnostic report and review local log status and size. Reports do not contain recorded audio.
Diagnostic values describe what the engine can observe; they are not a measurement of the sound arriving at your ears. Exporting a report does not automatically upload it.
06 / Settings / Phone remote control
Control PairChord on your computer from a phone, tablet, or another computer’s browser.
Start sharing in Settings, then open the displayed LAN URL on a device connected to the same trusted private network. No companion app installation is needed.
Choose a dedicated 6–12 digit PIN or a 10–128 character password that is not all digits. Visitors must sign in before they can control your audio.
Set how long each login lasts and how long sharing stays open, from 1 minute to 24 hours. Login access cannot outlast the sharing session.
Start, pause, resume, or stop routing. Adjust master volume and mute, select available outputs, and change each output’s volume, mute, or supported delay.
Check which outputs are selected, connected to PairChord, or playing. Unavailable controls and stale device information are clearly indicated.
Stop sharing to revoke every remote session while your audio continues. Sharing expires automatically and stays off after restarting the app.
Desktop browser remote control—not a native mobile app. Audio stays on the computer’s outputs; it is not streamed to your phone. Source selection, EQ editing, and sharing settings remain on the desktop. Sharing uses unencrypted HTTP: use a trusted private network only, never public Wi-Fi, port forwarding, or an Internet tunnel. Windows direct-default output selection and delay restrictions still apply.
07 / Settings & walkthrough
Personalize the interface and decide how PairChord starts.
Match your desktop appearance or choose your preferred app theme.
Choose White, Blue, Red, Purple, Orange, Green, or Yellow for app accents and audio visualization.
Switch the app between English, Simplified Chinese, and Malay (Malaysia).
On Windows and macOS, launch hidden in the system tray or menu bar. Audio routing never starts automatically.
Open the interface, inspect session status, mute, or start and stop routing from the desktop tray menu.
Restore saved selections and controls after launch. Restored launch volume is capped at 75%, and routing still waits for you.
Follow the highlighted controls for sources, outputs, volume, timing, and EQ. Skip the tutorial or replay it from Settings.
Enable the startup sync reminder, go directly to testing, or suppress future reminders.
Core audio processing and saved preferences stay on your device, without audio uploads, advertising, or analytics.
These are desktop app preferences. Website language and appearance are separate; the Features page does not change your installed app.

Capabilities depend on your operating system, permissions, and devices.
Bluetooth timing varies. Calibration may still be needed; there is no zero-delay guarantee. Public installers remain pending release validation.
