How do I control PairChord from my phone’s browser?

In desktop Settings, configure a PIN or password and start Phone remote control sharing. Open the exact displayed LAN address in a browser on the same trusted private network, then sign in. Set the login duration and sharing duration separately; a login cannot outlast sharing. The connection uses unencrypted HTTP, so use a trusted private network only. Audio stays on the computer’s outputs, not on your phone.

Why can’t my browser connect to the shared address?

Make sure PairChord is running, sharing has not expired, and both devices are on the same trusted private network. Open the current address shown in Settings exactly, including its port; an old bookmark or a different hostname can be rejected. Guest-network isolation or firewall rules can prevent access. Do not disable firewall protection or expose the address using router port forwarding or an internet tunnel. Sharing uses unencrypted HTTP and requires your configured PIN/password.

How do I end remote access?

Click Stop sharing in desktop Settings to revoke all remote logins without stopping the music. Sharing also ends at its configured expiry and remains off after restarting PairChord. Each login has its own duration, capped by the sharing session. PIN/password protection does not encrypt HTTP traffic: keep sharing on a trusted private network.
